Duties

Help

The incumbent serves as an executive assistant in the Joint Program Office (JPO), performing a variety of administrative assignments. The incumbent drafts a variety of correspondence and reports and provides quality and revision control on briefs; maintains credentials as the records liaison and maintains office records; assist with coordination of schedules and meetings; assists in the preparation of presentations, agendas, notices, minutes, and resolutions for corporate and/or customer meetings as required; coordinates the routing of documents through the approval process for classified and non-classified technical data release requests and public release requests; processes visitor requests through security; represents JPO at command events such as the Combined Federal Campaign; tracks external conference packages; prepares and submits requisitions for office supplies/equipment; runs reports in ERP to ensure time-cards are completely timely; makes travel arrangements and/or submits vouchers; provide training deadlines for division employee's to management; coordinates routine facility issues and performs other job-related tasks as identified.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NG-02 (GS-05/06 grade level) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Knowledge of basic office equipment, processes and applications to complete a variety of assignments. Ability to interface with all levels of senior management and military leadership. Knowledge of proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Ability to assist with developing materials for meetings and presentations. Ability to assist with preparing correspondence and reports.

Education

This position allows for substitution of education for experience as follows:

  1. Bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement for two-grade interval positions,

    OR

    1 academic year of graduate education (or law school, as specified in qualification standards or individual occupational requirements)

As a general rule, education is not creditable above GS-5 for most positions covered by this standard; however, graduate education may be credited in those few instances where the graduate education is directly related to the work of the position.
